Do you think any of these "global warming"
religionists have any clue what it would be like with horses
and horse droppings all over the place? Or as happened in
major cities before cars took over where dead horses were
left in the gutters along the roadways? As you say the
quality of air is better than it's been. Those of us older
than in their 30's will remember what the exhaust of cars
was like. Or what the plants were discharging. Where the
environment was cleaned up is where capitalism was the
strongest. Just look at the Soviet Union or even today's
China to see what totalitarianism does to the environment.
Yes, I remember when cars first came out with the EGR
system, back in the early 60's, I believe. Engines were a
problem, even in the 40's and 50's in LA. I remember, in the
early 1970's, going to LA for business, and having tears
streaming down my face, with my lungs burning, due to the
air pollution. No longer the case. The air there is actually
getting pretty good. By the way, this all had/has
nothing to do with CO2 (President Obama), but rather mainly
CO and Oxides of Nitrogen. Praise the fuel-injection
systems, catalytic converters and computer controlled
engines. We live in a marvelous, amazing time. Live in a
one-room cabin, stop watching TV, don't drive a car - only
travel by sailboat or bicycle, live in a commune, get rid of
all your possessions, don't exercise (you will die younger
and breath less producing less CO2), never eat beans (lowers
methane production), stop going to school (less educated
people use less energy), eliminate all gun control (more
guns, more people killed, less CO2), outlaw jogging and
heavy breathing, no carbonated beverages, and one child
policy for the world...
One has to wonder
if climate scientists and liberals actually believe in man
made global warming (and if we can do anything about it).
The President, a global warming enthusiast, denied the
Canadian pipeline because of increased carbon (by not
endorsing the pipeline, the amount of carbon used to bring
the oil to market will actually be more than the pipeline -
that's a liberal logic for you) and then he endorses the
nuclear treaty to free up 150B to Iran which will use the
money to develop oil fields and ..... wait for it .....
increase oil production and carbon. I am surprised of all of
the liberals flying coach instead of private jet, walking
instead of driving a car, limiting their consumption rather
than buying the latest fashionable thing, and living in tiny
homes rather than mansions. They may talk the talk but they
don't walk the walk (pun intended). Who are we to believe?
Those that say it's real or those that act as if it's not
Don did you write this? This was not the
quote I was talking about. But If you are saying you did
"REAL SCIENCE" let us know about it. Who is blowing smoke?
On Your Complete Guide to the Climate Debate: @Clay
Contouris @Don Hansen @MICHAEL K MCMAHAN Clay, how about you
respond to the point about Miami drainage system? It was you
who was misinformed. That was one example. The author, who
does know science, provided a long list of evidence to the
contrary of your opinion. If you had a brain and cared about
the truth, you would calmly, thoughtfully, respectfully,
offer your counterpoints. Attempts at insults to silence
dissent reveal you as the fanatic, you as the anti-science
one. Real science, which I have done, takes calm, deeply
thoughtful patience. You're blowing smoke, as loudly and
obnoxiously as you can.
